Eliza & Eric | Spooky Glam Engagement Session | Salem, MA

Happy Halloween!

The last photo session I had with my sister, Eliza, and her then-boyfriend, Eric, happened in their Hollywood condo less than two weeks before they got engaged. Now they are living on the East Coast and are officially tying the knot (eventually), so we cooked up a spooky little session to celebrate the season in Salem, Massachusetts, which also happens to be where Eliza was born.

One morning, a few days before a trip to Boston, I woke up with a vision of my sister in a black dress, wearing dark lipstick, while holding a white bouquet in front of the Salem Witch House. So we ordered a dress from Rent the Runway, DIY-ed a bouquet with flowers from Whole Foods together, and got a little glamorous on a Monday morning. The three of us walked along the cobblestone streets, and through the cemetery, taking in history of the witchy town.

Kerri & Josh | New London Historical Society Wedding | New London, NH

You may remember Kerri and Josh from their engagement session this past winter. The bride and groom were married at the New London Historical Society over Labor Day Weekend. It was one of the most beautiful and personal weddings I've witnessed. The happy couple could not have had a more perfect New England day, with sunny, blue skies, and late summer warmth. Kerri planned every detail with personal touches, making most of the beautiful decor by hand and putting thought into every small decision along the way. It did not go unnoticed and was deeply appreciated by her wedding party, her guests, and her vendors.

When both Kerri and Josh referenced "Planet of the Apes" during their vows, which they saw on their first date, they had everyone laughing. They also shared many tears as they touched on all the happy moments throughout their relationship and the love they promised to share for the rest of their lives. Even I was sobbing behind my camera!

Things got wild during the reception! There was a conga line, a handle of fireball being passed around the dance floor, and the mother of the groom cutting a bridesmaid's dress in half! Needless to say, this was a very memorable affair start to finish. Congrats to my lifelong friend, Kerri, and her new husband, Josh, on the wonderful start of their marriage!

Kerri & Josh | Stark Park Winter Engagement Session | Manchester, NH

Kerri and Josh met through a mutual friend three years ago. He took one look at her and thought she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen, she thought he had great taste in music. They started spending a lot of time together and knew almost right away they were meant for each other!

Together, they love traveling around New England and are hoping to explore Ireland and Thailand in the future. Kerri loves crafting, Josh loves watching football, particularly the amazing five-time Superbowl champs, the New England Patriots (Go Pats!). They enjoy trying out new foods and binge watching movies with their beloved dog, Petey.

Capturing Kerri & Josh's New Hampshire wedding this September is going to be extra special for all of us. The bride and I have known each other since first grade! The night before we got in touch about her wedding, I had a dream about photographing it! We both believe in signs and are so happy it worked out! I am so looking forward to sharing a day full of love with this beautiful couple, their families and lots of old friends. Congratulations!

Amanda & Aaron | Labor Day Weekend Wedding | Lake Sunapee, NH

On September 3, 2016, Amanda and Aaron shared vows that had been over ten years in the making! They have been writing their love story for over a decade. Together, they celebrated with an intimate ceremony at Amanda's aunt's lake house with family and close friends.

My favorite part of the day was hearing Maid of Honor, the bride's sister, Sara, share stories of their childhood. She talked about everything from Troll dolls to literally drawing a line down the center of their bedroom declaring which side belonged to each of them! Most importantly, during Sara's speech, she spoke about the match her sister, who grew up to be her best friend, had found in Aaron. It was so touching getting to witness all the joy and love between these two women, the bride and groom, and both their families in coming together.

See photos from their beautiful day below! Don't forget to "spread the love"!
